Grub graduated from Cambridge (in England) with a masters degree in history and anthropology. He was a journalist and helped to create the magazines GQ, Esquire, and Maxim. In addition, he helped to re-launch FHM magazine. He continues to write for FHM as he hosts his TV show Travel Sick.
